Vu Thanh Long, 20 years old, the second Vietnamese flew into space.

Over 6 launched months and nationwide competition, Axe label officially identified the best candidates who met factors of health, talent, English and communication skills on order to make secondary Vietnamese’s porcelain flying into space in US along with 22 astronauts from  many countries around the world.

August 2013, top 100 most excellent candidates of the general round (50 candidates had the highest score in the first round and 50 candidates were voted at highest level on website) participated physical examination and health according to standards of pilots at Vietnam Aviation Medicine Institute. In addition, candidates also tested English level at ILA English Language center. After this competitive round, the program identified the top 11 best candidates who met strict standards for physical, health and the English communication ability to step into the national challenge round which took place from August 25, 2013 to September 9, 2013.

The final results of the competition announced by Lieutenant General Pham Tuan in the evening, October 27 at Vincom Mega Mall (Hanoi Royal Center). It's Vu Thanh Long, 20 years old, 2nd year student of Economics & Engineering industry in Australia.
