Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam and Intellectual Property Office of Singapore

Attending the meeting, there are 30 delegates from ASEAN intellectual property agencies and  ASEAN Secretariat.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Ministry Tran Van Tung emphasized the role and contribution of AWGIPC in promoting ASEAN cooperation in intellectual property in the recent years and believed that ASEAN cooperation relationship about intellectual property will continue to be strengthened in order to successfully implement the objectives of the Action Plan 2011 - 2015 on intellectual property, towards the ASEAN Economic Community 2015, and Action Plan period after 2015.

The delegates discussed the contents as the review of the implemented activities in the past time to achieve the objectives of intellectual property in the Master Plan for ASEAN Economic Community 2015; reviewing implementation process of  ASEAN Action program on Intellectual Property period 2011-2015; assessing the impact of ASEAN Action program on intellectual property period 2011-2015 to build action program period after 2015; and negotiating with a number of partners for intellectual property cooperation.

Especially, in the framework of the meeting, it took place  a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.
