Creating biogas from waste water of processing cassava

Research on abilities to create biogas from wastewater of processing cassava by an anaerobic fermentation method. The Research was studied by a group of authors including Mr. Pham Dinh Long, Tran Van Quang, Truong Le Bich Tram, Nguyen Van Dong, and Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, Da Nang University.

To solve the problems of energy and environment, cassava processing factories studied to recover biogas from waste water treatment system, in order to power generators, or tapioca heat drying ovens. However, they didn’t identify flow and components of biogas generated, therefore the use of biogas for production faced some difficulties.
The research aimed to recover biogas from waste water of processing cassava by anaerobic fermentation methods, helped cassava processing factories to identify amount of reusable biogas from cassava waste water treatment process, thereby the treatment method saved energy and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
