Acceptance of the project: "Building a high-tech agricultural service model for cooperative Thoi Tan, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city”.
In the Morning of September 23, 2014, Can Tho Department of Science and Technology held a science council to accept the result of the project: "Building a high-tech agricultural service model for cooperative Thoi Tan, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city.”


The project was implemented by MA. Hoang Huu Toan, director of Can Tho Science and Technology Application Center. The project belongs to the support program for science and technology application and transfer for economic - social development in the rural and mountainous areas period 2011-2015.

The project was deployed since April 2012, so far the project has combined with Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute to train and transfer technical advances in the production of pure rice seeds, certified rice seeds, organic bio-fertilizer production, post-harvest preservation technologies for cooperative members, technicians and farmers in the project area; rice seed production in two seasons Autumn-Winter  2013 and Winter Spring 2014 in 80 hectares of production land of the cooperative Tan Thoi.

In which, OM4218 and OM5451 rice seed used to produce pure rice seeds, the yield of 6 tons / ha, profit compared to the cost between 52% -56%. Production results of certified rice seed of OM5451, OM4218, Jasmine 85 also achieved higher productivity and profits compared to commercial production grain products.

The project invested in cleaning devices, such as oven with capacity of 10 tons / batch, straw crushers, grain moisture meter, laser equipments control leveling fields, maintenance, packaging and post-harvest trade equipments and linked with Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute to ensure output of rice for farmers.

Science Council appreciated the practical significance of the project, the results contributed to improving the quality of agricultural activities in the area. The project was accepted by science council.
