According to Mr. Tran Van Tung, Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Vietnam identified the development of infrastructure, including transport infrastructure development is one of the three strategic breakthroughs for socio-economic development to 2020 and the next years. Therefore, the workshop is an opportunity for Vietnam and Korea scientists, businesses to exchange information, transfer new proper technologies in Vietnam transport infrastructure.

Ministry of Science and Technology has been presiding some programs to encourage the transfer of new suitable technologies from foreign countries into Vietnam. Enterprises need to learn to be supported from this program.

At the workshop, Vietnam and Korea businesses exchanged technology needs from Vietnam businesses, advantages and development orientations of Vietnam in the fields of construction, infrastructure, traffic.

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh Science and Engineering Association and Korea New Construction-Transport Technology Association signed a cooperation agreement on coordinating the deployment of the application of new technologies in the field of civil and industrial construction.

It is an initial step for two parties to support, facilitate Vietnam and Korean businesses implementing research problems, exchanging construction technologies.
