In the period from 2004 to 2015, together with population growth, economic restructure, demand for land to serve economic - social development increased in Thai Nguyen City. During this period land fund was created 9,061,339.96 m2 for 624 projects. The form of land fund creation by the State’s recovery was dominant accounting for 93.75% total of the projects and about 97.08% of the total area of land fund created.

Creation of land fund for production and business purposes was highest (2,724,410.63m2), creation of land fund for developing residential areas, urban areas (2,382,136.37 m2) and creation of land fund for the purposes of national defense, security was lowest (80,891.60 m2). Some solutions to enhance the land fund creation were proposed to improve the effectiveness of creation of the land fund in the future, as follows: continue to promote and implement effective land policies, support policies and other social policies; pay attention to policies of attracting investment; improving the organizations in charge of creating the land fund that are public affairs units to perform the tasks of land fund creation in the form of land recovery; should be interested in building technical infrastructure adequately, and will be ready to serve the needs of the people and investors.
