Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations congratulated prof.Dr. Dang Huy Huynh.
Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh is the first Vietnamese, also one of 10 typical characters of the countries in the region to receive this title. The title is given to those who make a great contribution to the ASEAN biodiversity through social activities, which contribute to the positive economic and social development of the country and the region.
More than 60 years of research on biology, Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh is an inspiration to the community in the conservation and development of biodiversity. He was awarded nearly 20 medals, and awards, in which Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology for the National Atlas Project (2005), Animals, Plant, Red Book of Vietnam (2010).
He has many specific activities to protect the endemic and endangered species. Many of his scientific works have contributed to expanding international cooperation and training of many good scientists in Vietnam, in which 154 published research works, 14 monographs on animals, ecology, environmental protection.
He has received the support of the community and national and international environmental activists for the initiative to hold an annual workshop to share experiences in biodiversity conservation of the Truong Son mountain range.
On August 16, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations held a welcoming ceremony and met Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh. Previously, on 8-8, in Manila, the Philippine capital, the title of ASEAN Biodiversity Hero was awarded to Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh. |
