The workshop is part of the Vietnam renewable energy week program 2017 in Can Tho City and the framework of the project "Capacity improvement for social, occupational and local organizations on renewable efficient energy use and energy conservation solutions."
Vietnam renewable energy Week 2017 focused on the key messages: Share and expand green future; renewable energy development, efficient use and energy conservation are the inevitable trend in the world, attracting many countries to quickly move in this direction.
Attending the workshop, there were Mrs. Ping Kitnikone, Ambassador of Canada in Vietnam, representatives of the Southwest Steering Committee, a large number of the domestic scientists and foreign experts. Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu, deputy head of the Southwest Steering Committee, presented the objectives of the renewable energy week to provide information on new science and technology advances in the field of development of renewable energy in the country and foreign country; Create open forums through specialized workshops for managers, professionals to meet and exchange ideas and etc.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Center for Renewable Energy (Vietnam Energy Institute) presented the current situation of renewable energy market in Vietnam, opportunities and challenges. He posed the development policies for RE sources as well as the mechanisms that need to be proposed related to RE. Besides, he also presented the challenges, obstacles and proposed remedies in the coming time.
Also at the workshop, participants discussed ideas on issues related to energy, and agreed in the future, investment in renewable energy development in Vietnam will be outstandingly developed. |
