The Smart Environment workshop was organized by Institute of Science and Technology on November 28, Dr. Le Ngoc Tho, a professor at McGill University in Canada, came up with above comments. Dr. Le Ngoc Tho is also president of the Canadian Broadband Association; Senior Member of the Quebec Association of Engineers, Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Canadian Institute of Technology (CAE) and Royal Society of Canada. 

With many years of knowledge in telecommunications research, Dr. Tho said that smart city is the inevitable trend of big cities in the world during the 4th industry revolution.

For Vietnam, Dr. Le Ngoc Tho said that cities need to bravely develop smart city solutions with a team of technical experts in the country. The development of smart city solutions will contribute to facilitate the promotion of research and application of science and technology in the country.
