Track video contents only thanks to face recognition

Wishing to contribute to the community’s an online option for face detection and recognition, photo and video management, as well as cutting video watching time in modern life, but still grasping the main content. Group students Nguyen Thanh An, Nguyen Phat Tai - students of information technology, University of Natural Sciences (National University of Ho Chi Minh) - under the guidance of Associate professor, Dr. Tran Minh Triet, MA. Nguyen Vinh Tiep carried out the study "Synthesis and search on video based on human face detection and recognition."

Currently, watching television, movies and news videos is a popular form of entertainment around the globe. However, there are still a number of difficulties for viewers to quickly catch up on the video information they are interested in terms of time-limited industrial work.
This application system is based on the ability to detect faces in the photo frame of video, and at the same time accurately identifies a large number of famous characters, actors, statesmen. The team studied the recently published scientific findings on face detection and identification for application and refinement to suit the objectives and functions.
