Approve national programs on power management

The national DSM program is implemented in line with the development trends of the energy sector, the electricity sector and national electricity development planning, ensuring optimal society, efficiency and electricity customer benefits and power units in the process chain from power generation, electricity transmission, electricity distribution, electricity sale and use such as reduction of peak load capacity of the national power system to reduce the need for investment capital for new construction; expanding the electricity system, contributing to reducing the pressure on electricity prices, rational exploitation of energy resources and sustainable development; raise the awareness of electricity users and the whole society in the management of electricity demand and efficient use of electricity; Step by step from traditional electricity customers to smart consumers.

The National Program on DSM is implemented in accordance with the roadmap and specific stages to ensure compliance with the conditions and institutions and policies of Vietnam's electricity industry. In which, focus on the following main contents:
1. Build and complete the legal framework for the implementation of the National Program on DSM.
2. Promote programs and activities to raise awareness of the society, consumers and electricity units of the National Program on DSM.
3. Implementation of DSM Programs, DR Program.
Scientific and technological solutions for the implementation of the DSM programs should be synchronized and in line with the development of the Smart Grid in Vietnam; To coordinate and integrate with the state key program on "Research, application and development of energy technologies" to ensure the fullest use of the potential of the DSM programs. |
