From March 17 to 23, a delegation from the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment led by Vice Minister Tran Quy Kien attended the 8th World Water Forum in Brazil's capital Brasilia at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.
The 8th World Water Forum was hold by World Water Council, together with Brazil and the city of Brasília, this is the first time the Forum was held in a southern hemisphere country. World Water Forum is the largest international event on water and related issues held every three years, gathered professionals, policy makers, governments, businesses and international organizations.
Attending the forum, there were more than 15 heads of states, such as President of Brazil, President of Hungary, Prime Minister of Korea, nearly 30 ministers, many leaders of Ministries, the Ambassador of more than 60 countries in the world, economies; more than 600 international organizations, regions, financial institutions, enterprises in the fields of technology, environment, consulting and etc.
The main topic of this forum is "Sharing Water", sharing ideas, the best experience and solutions; share the benefits of proper use of water and; widely, share action and responsibility among nations with a variety of workshops, exhibitions and thematic events designed around major issues. |
