Develop organic fertilizer for sustainable agriculture
Waste from agricultural production is a great potential for the production of organic fertilizers. If it does well, it will not only produce fertilizer for clean agriculture, but it will also contribute to reducing environmental pollution.

On May 07, in Thua Thien-Hue province, Vietnam Fertilizer Association collaborated with MARD and Thua Thien Hue province to organize a workshop on organic fertilizer production and automation.

According to the Vietnam Fertilizer Association, Vietnam produces about 40 million tons of straw and wastes (more than 25 million tons of animal dung) poultry and fishes. Especially, Mekong Delta has more than 23 million tons of straw, more than 4.6 million tons of rice husk and more than 2.3 million tons of bran was released.

This waste is of great potential for the production of organic fertilizers. If done well, not only it produces large amounts of organic fertilizer for clean farming, but it also contributes to reducing environmental pollution. However, up to now, the production of organic fertilizer from this source has not been properly concerned.

Exchanges, discussions at the workshop, representatives of managers, enterprises and experts said that food safety and quality of agricultural products have been paid special attention by countries in the world, develop and shift agriculture towards organic agriculture.
