On June 14, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology collaborated with the National Officce of Intellectual Property of Vietnam under the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize a training course on "Intellectual property management in research organizations at Cuu Long Hotel, Can Tho City.

Attending the training course, there were Mr. Truong Hoang Phuong - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology and over 100 representatives from institutes, schools, departments, branches and associations, research team, presiding agencies of scientific projects, enterprises, students and some related units, representatives of news agencies.

At the training course, delegates listened to issues, such as intellectual property management; status of intellectual property management; Intellectual asset management contents and some notes. In addition, the training course spent time for discussing intellectual property management in research organizations.

This is an opportunity for delegates to raise awareness and knowledge about intellectual property right protection and intellectual property management practices from the research results, contributing to the promotion of creative activities, improvement of the science and technology level, promotion of trade and healthy competition, but also it contributes to economic growth, protection of the interests of owners and authors of research.
