Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology launched the Community Initiative Competition 2018
This is a contest aimed at finding, honoring and supporting the spread of good ideas in the community as well as encouraging the movement of all people to promote the initiative for community life.

The contest is open to all individuals and organizations that have ideas, products, models and innovative solutions for production, economic and social life for the community in Ho Chi Minh City. This is the third year the Department of Science and Technology presided and held this competition.

Contests are open to all Vietnamese citizens or foreigners regardless of age, composition, ethnicity, occupation, with products, models, technical solutions as the result of the activity, innovation, improvement and application of science and technology in socio-economic activities applied in the city from 1/1/2018 to 20/12/2018.

With the products, this award also has awards for press agencies, authors have articles, reports in the categories of print newspapers, electronic newspapers, broadcasting about the creative activities, innovations, and application of science and technology applied in Ho Chi Minh City.

Standards for evaluating products, models, solutions of the organization Board is based on factors, such as novelty; creativity; The scale is widely applied; Socio-economic efficiency. Candidates can submit their products in one of two ways, such as product description, models, and solutions. Or article introduction, product description, models, solutions, idea contest: copy or link from printed newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio, and video published within the time of the contest.

At present, there are a number of products registered at the contest, such as the ward president and the emergency padlock; Or as the product of students in the gifted students of Ho Chi Minh City successfully researched software to help learners observe the body parts.
