Vietnam will issue standards of smart city

The above information was informed by Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi - Acting Director of Standards Department (Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality) when referring to building a plan for sustainable smart city development in Vietnam.

Ha Long is the pioneer locality of Quang Ninh province to build a smart city.
According to Mr. Khoi, the technical standard is a scientific and technical basis to support the planning, construction and connection of operation of components of smart city to effectively operate and limit risks.
Recognizing the importance of standardization in promoting smart city development, the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality has planned and is studying and developing standards of smart city based on prestigious international and foreign standards, such as ISO, IEC, ITU, BSI and etc.
focus on issues, such as Principles for applying a management system applied in smart cities; Smart city evaluation indicators; Technical report on the infrastructure for Smart city, Harmonization Index to benchmark the intelligence of infrastructure; Smart city infrastructure - Common framework for urban development and operation.
Currently, the fifth draft of Vietnamese standards has been completed on the basis of referring to the experience and regulations of the world standard organization and consulting the ministries. |
