The project has a file of the Center for Agricultural Development, the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development for registration. Engineer Nguyen Van Ba is project implementer.

With the aim of building a system of organization, maintenance, quality control and trade in order to develop the value of the "Yen Chau" for the round mango products of Yen Chau district, Son La province, contributing to improving high economic and social values, maintenance and conservation of indigenous mango-growing production areas.

The project will conduct a review of the current status of production, trade and management of the geographical indication of Yen Chau round mango products, build a system of tools to manage and develop and support the development and implementation of production and trade activities of geographical indication  associated with value chains.

At the meeting, the Council exchanged, discussed and agreed that this is an essential task for local specialty products, the project not only enhances the reputation, promotes product development, builds links along the value chain to improve the efficiency of production, trade and development of protected GIs for Yen Chau round mango products but also offers appropriate research and planning solutions for mango planting to prevent risks grow spontaneously and affects the reputation of the local round mango variety.

However, the Council also suggested that the managing body and the research team correct some contents, such as: Needing specific maintenance, development and integration models in the production process of round mango products.

After the discussion, the Council conducted an evaluation, graded the selection record and announced that the Center for Agriculture Development, the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development is a capable unit of implementing the project. The project with an average score of 81.83 points, engineer Nguyen Van Ba is project implementer.
