Strongly anti-counterfeiting in e-commerce
With the strong development of Internet infrastructure, e-commerce environment has increasingly attracted a large number of consumers to participate. However, this is also a place for many people to take advantage of selling low quality goods.

According to the Hanoi Market Management Department, e-commerce trading centers are the place where most of B2C e-commerce transactions (from businesses to customers) and C2C are concentrated (consumers also link online to each other), and is also the place where the problem of counterfeit goods, intellectual property infringement goods, goods of unknown origin is reflected most clearly.

In practice, all activities from reviewing seller information, posting information about goods, transactions, and payment are through the operator of E-commerce trading floor. Meanwhile, many exchanges, due to the revenue from the transaction fee collection, have relaxed the examination of the documents of the floor participants, leading to unidentified goods, counterfeit goods on internet without control measures; Many items are also posted in local languages, such as Chinese, Korean and etc making consumers confused when accessing information.

Typically, at the end of February and early March 2020, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy said that it reviewed a total of 463,865 stores and 1,755,559 products; handling about 5,200 stores with over 21,000 infringing products. Specifically, the e-commerce floor with the most infringing products was Sendo.vn with more than 400 stores and nearly 4,000 violation products of masks. The second most infringing product shop is Shopee.vn with nearly 3,000 stores and more than 3,500 violation medical masks.

In some other e-commerce transactions, the number of stores distributed masks and medical masks being handled for violations is nearly 1,000 products, with about 10,000 infringing products. Nearly 700 stores with nearly 1,000 products of liquid, dry hand gel were also handled after the review.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Head of E-commerce Management Department (Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade) stated that the situation of commercial fraud, unfair competition, trading in fake goods, infringement of intellectual property rights via the Internet is becoming more and more complicated but in reality, sanctions have not been completed, making it difficult to collect information and evidence to ensure legal grounds for handling violations.
