The purpose of the signing ceremony was to consolidate, strengthen the links, comprehensive cooperation in the fields of applied science and technology research, the focus is on developing high-tech agriculture, creating new technologies, especially plant and animal breed technologies, training of high-quality human resources, contributing to the restructuring of the agricultural sector associated with the renewal of growth models and new rural construction.

The signing content focused on cooperation in 10 fields: agriculture and rural development; Industry and Trade; science and technology; resources and environment; information and communication; human resource development; culture and arts; youth development; international cooperation; defence security.

In the field of science and technology, Can Tho University has coordinated to implement 29 city-level science and technology tasks and many district-level science and technology tasks; coordinating the implementation of the "Technology Business Incubator" Project in Can Tho City funded by the Korean Government; implementing the project on building a science and technology information network in the Mekong Delta region (E. Mekong network) up to now, it has built a model and regulations to coordinate activities of provinces / cities in the region; coordinating the implementation of the project "100 resilient cities" (CRO); implementation of many talks / training activities on science and technology.

In the coming period, the two sides have strengthened their solidarity and cooperation in the fields of applied science and technology research and training of high quality human resources for the development of regional economy as well as the whole country.
