Scientists volunteered in the fight against Covid-19
In the past 6 months, the Ministry of Science and Technology has mobilized a team of leading experts, scientists in Vietnam and enterprises to implement the epidemic prevention.


Effective disinfection robot is at Central Tropical Hospital 2.

In July 8 afternoon, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a regular press conference in the second quarter of 2020 with the presiding of Deputy Minister Bui The Duy.

One of the outstanding results mentioned at the press conference is that in the past 6 months, the Ministry of Science and Technology has mobilized a team of leading experts, scientists in Vietnam and enterprises to implement the prevention of epidemics.

Specifically, successfully researched and produced the SARS-CoV-2 detection kit; successful culture and isolation of SARS-CoV-2 virus; collect and synthesize the latest scientific and technological publications on SARS-CoV-2; Research, produce, test successfully robots including VIBOT-1a to support medical and manufacturing, successfully test NaRoVid11a robots.

In addition, free disinfection irradiation for medical equipment and items for epidemic prevention with 102,300 nano masks, 22,525 N95 masks and 960 medical protective suits for officials of Bach Mai Hospital.

Along with that, the Ministry of Science and Technology has collaborated with other ministries and agencies to promote the foundation of the digitized Vietnamese Knowledge System in developing epidemic maps; to provide free all national standards related to medical equipment and devices to prevent and combat epidemics; brings together the latest international standards for free in the field of medical equipment.

The Ministry of Science and Technology also has many solutions to support businesses in testing and evaluating technical requirements for medical equipment; applied and certified according to international standards; extend the payment of fees and charges to enterprises; administrative support, extend the time to submit documents to carry out administrative procedures; coordinating with the Ministry of Finance to reduce 50% of the fee for registering to use foreign codes and barcodes and the industrial property fee.
