According to a report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the period of 2016-2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed and issued 06 documents on the operation of quality, measurement, standards; Promulgating 10 national technical regulations for products and goods of Industry and Trade sector.
In 2020, it is recommended to appraise 03 TCVNs on LPG, and at the same time focus on reviewing and completing the dossier to transfer the Ministry of Science and Technology to appraise and publish the remaining TCVN and QCVN.
According to Mr. Dao Trong Cuong, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the past time, the activities of assessing the conformity, the state management of the quality of products and goods circulated in the market within the scope of Ministry of Industry and Trade management has been strengthened. Besides, there are activities, such as implementing the transformation of quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2015 in the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Register, specify and inspect the activities of conformity assessment organizations for products, goods and testing organizations for food safety in accordance with the Law on Product Quality, goods and the Law of Food Safety and Hygiene; Inspecting, examining and handling violations of product and goods quality and food safety; International cooperation: signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Electricity Association and is promoting the proposal of specific implementation contents in the field of standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment; Implement the industry quality productivity program and report the results as required by the clue agency.
According to Mr. Cuong, in the context of international economic integration and the implementation of commitments in free trade agreements among Vietnam and important partners, such as EVFTA, CPTPP, VKFTA and etc, Ministry of Industry and Trade are reviewing, researching, developing and finalizing documents to cover the entire operation of the Industry and Trade quality metrology standards in the coming time.
Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is conducting research and developing a project to strengthen measurement activities to support Vietnamese enterprises to improve their competitiveness and international integration in the period up to 2025, with orientations to 2030 with respect to the Industry and Trade sector in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the state management of measurement activities in the Industry and Trade sector, and at the same time support enterprises in the Industry and Trade sector to improve their measurement activities. |
