Ban Lau pineapple is a type of pineapple only available in Muong Khuong. Pineapples usually have 2 seasons: spring-summer and autumn-winter. The pineapple is big, with tight eyes and has a sweet and delicious taste. Especially with the more sunny weather, the more delicious the pineapple, the dried fruit and the honey.

With many uses, pineapples are used by indigenous people to process dishes, such as stir-fried beef, stir-fried duck meat to help the meat quickly soften creating a fragrance with a characteristic flavor, looking both beautiful and attractive. Pineapple is not only used as a dessert after a meal, but the juice of pineapple also helps to cool down and refreshes very well.

Pineapple is a crop of economic value, but the product has no brand name, and the consumption market is not stable, so the price is often forced. In order to protect the brand and contribute to enhancing the value of strong local products, the Department of Science and Technology of the province has implemented a project to build a certification trademark "Muong Khuong Pineapple" for pineapple products of Muong Khuong district, belonging to the program to support the development of intellectual property in Lao Cai province for the period of 2016 - 2020 and approved by the Provincial People's Committee, provided funding for implementation in Decision No. 619 dated February 28, 2017.

Certification trademark "Muong Khuong Pineapple" was issued the Certificate of Trademark Registration No. 344883 by the National Office of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Science and Technology in Decision No. 13907 / QD-SHTT dated February 17, 2020 for the product: Fresh pineapple. The owner of the trademark is the People's Committee of Muong Khuong district.
