Radiation safety training class

In the morning of July 20, 2022, Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center under the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho organized a training course on "Radiation safety" for managers and radiation workers in the fields of medical, industrial and industrial irradiation, during 2 days (from July 20-21, 2022) at the center's hall.

Attending the training course, trainees have access to the following contents: Overview of ionizing radiation; Interaction of radiation with matter; Record radiation measurement; Biological effects of radiation; Protection against external irradiation; Working principles of nuclear control equipment in industry, irradiation equipment, analytical equipment using radiation sources and related radiation safety issues; Towards ensuring radiation safety for the use of nuclear control equipment in industry, irradiation equipment, and analytical equipment using radiation sources; Guidelines for ensuring radiation safety in the transportation of radioactive sources; Operating principles of medical diagnostic X-ray equipment and related radiation safety issues; Aspects related to radiation safety optimization in medical diagnostic radiology; Guidelines for radiation safety in medical diagnostic X-rays; System of legal regulations on radiation safety assurance; Examination of occupational irradiation and public irradiation; Requirements to ensure the security of radioactive sources; Radiation incident response plan; exchange solutions to questions; Organize radiation safety management at the facility; Guidelines for planning radiation incident response at grassroots level; To guide the declaration and grant of permits to conduct radiation work and grant certificates of radiation workers; Quality management system for radiation work, radiation and nuclear facilities.
The training course is held to help improve radiation safety knowledge for radiation workers and radiation safety managers working directly at facilities that use radiation equipment and radioactive sources.
At the end of the training course, learners are tested and given a certificate of course completion. |
