At the ceremony, nearly 200 delegates watched a clip about the National Digital Transformation Day and introduced the national digital transformation to 2025 with orientation to 2030.

The Department of Information and Communications of Bac Kan province announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee to choose October 10 every year as the Digital Transformation Day of Bac Kan province.

According to the Bac Kan Department of Information and Communications, the province has identified digital transformation as one of the important tasks and solutions to promote socio-economic development. The province has implemented digital transformation activities on all 3 pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society.

Bac Kan has promulgated the Digital Transformation Master Plan for the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030, and plans and lists of digital transformation projects to be implemented.

In the ranking of the digital transformation index in 2021, Bac Kan province increased 8 places (from 59th position in 2020 to 51st position). In particular, the rankings of digital human resources and digital economic activities are in the Top 20, and digital infrastructure is in the Top 30.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province Nguyen Dang Binh emphasized that in the condition that the province does not have railways, air routes, waterways, and roads are mainly old, low-speed routes, digital transformation is a "highway" for Bac Kan to shorten the development gap and pace with other provinces and cities in the country.
