According to the Minister, the publication in English by the Vietnam Science and Technology Journal in the fields of natural sciences, technology and engineering, social sciences and humanities shows a strong transformation of a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary journal. Thereby, domestic and international scientists can monitor and contribute to the development of Vietnamese science.

The Minister expected that the Journal would soon join prestigious scientific databases of the world such as Web of Science, Scopus, contributing to improving competitiveness and international integration in the field of science and technology journals of Vietnam.

At the event, scientists and members of the editorial board also gave many suggestions to improve the quality of the journal; attract more articles in English and reputable reviewers; become a forum for the exchange of science and technology issues of the country.

According to Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh, in the past time, the publications of Vietnamese scientists have developed well, but the development of scientific journals has not been commensurate; then the output coefficient is affected, while this is an important parameter of scientists. The Deputy Minister wishes that scientists and reviewers will continue to contribute to bring the Journal to international standards.
