On June 30, 2023, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology collaborated with the Australian Embassy, the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) to organize the "Australia-Vietnam Innovation Partnership Day".

On June 30, 2023, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology collaborated with the Australian Embassy, the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) to organize the "Australia-Vietnam Innovation Partnership Day".
Attending the event, there were Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui The Duy; Australian Ambassador to Vietnam - Andrew Goledzinowski; CSIRO's Chief Executive Officer for Growth - Jonathan Law; representatives of a number of Vietnamese ministries, branches, universities, units and partners of the Aus4Innovation Program.
The Australian Government has been supporting the development of an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam since 2018 through the Aus4Innovation Program. This program has officially been extended until 2028, bringing the Australian Government's commitment to 10 years with a total support budget of AUD 33.5 million. The Aus4Innovation program is delivered through a tripartite partnership among the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), CSIRO and the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology. The program explores emerging areas in technology and digital transformation, tests partnership models between public and private sector organizations, and strengthens Vietnam's capacity to forecast digital trends, strategic plans, promoting commercialization of research results, and formulating innovation policy. |
