At the workshop "Digital transformation in State-owned enterprises: Opportunities and challenges" organized by VOV Electronic Newspaper in Hanoi on July 26, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communication (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that in recent years, we expect a lot about the digital transformation of businesses, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, according to a study, our country has up to 72% of businesses do not know where to start digital transformation. Only 10% of small and medium enterprises believe that digital transformation is successful and brings significant value to the business.
The reason why businesses are not interested in digital transformation is digital transformation investment costs, due to classic business habits, lack of commitment from leaders and employees; lack of internal human resources, lack of information and digital technology; worry about the leakage of confidential information…
Mr. Le Nguyen Truong Giang, Director of the Institute of Digital Transformation Strategy (Vietnam Digital Communications Association) also shared that digital transformation is essentially changing business models of enterprises, thereby transforming advantages of enterprise competition.
According to Mr. Le Nguyen Truong Giang, State-owned enterprises are facing 6 challenges when implementing digital transformation. |
