The report on S&T activities in the first 6 months of 2023 clearly shows that the S&T industry has made great efforts in performing its tasks, helping to affirm the position and role of science and technology in making important contributions to local socio-economic development. In the advisory work, the Department of Science and Technology advised the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Plan No. 1284-KH/BCSD dated May 31, 2023 on Research, study, mastery, propaganda and implementation of Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated January 30, 2023 of the Politburo on the development and application of biotechnology for sustainable development of the country in the new situation; develop many draft documents to ensure quality and time according to regulations to submit to the People's Council, People's Committee, Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

The management of the implementation of S&T tasks has been strengthened, speeding up the progress from consulting, approving, inspecting, accepting, registering and handing over products. The basic S&T tasks are guaranteed according to the set plan; the inspection and examination of science and technology has had positive effects; the state management of standards, measurement, quality, inspection and testing of goods is ensured; Technology management, intellectual property, nuclear radiation safety, and etc. are strengthened. A number of pilot models on the application of 5S tools in schools, the commune-level digital transformation model were replicated and initially promoted effectively, contributing to the province's socio-economic development goals.
