This is a science diplomacy event organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Scientific Meeting of Vietnam Association (Rencontres du Vietnam, France) and the ICISE Center to provide an academic forum to present realizing the vision of unifying international affairs through science.

At the same time, this is the first workshop organized by the World Parliamentary Union at the ICISE Center within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the World Parliamentary Union and the ICISE Center on May 11, 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland. Bringing together scientists, researchers, managers and young parliamentarians from Vietnam, Asia-Pacific, Africa and other regions of the world to share knowledge and present results Research and discuss issues related to water security and insecurity.

Attending the opening ceremony, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam; Mr. Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of Ho Chi Minh City National University; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Science, Technology and Environment Committee; Professor Tran Thanh Van, Director of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education; Mr. Denis Naughten, Chairman of the Working Group on Science and Technology, World Parliamentary Union, and leaders of Binh Dinh province; Vietnamese and world scientists.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly welcomed and appreciated the initiative of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in collaboration with the United Nations. The International Parliamentary Union (IPU) organized the workshop.
