The workshop aims to create conditions for state management agencies and relevant units to consult experts and build a scientific basis for implementing waste classification and collection plans and processed according to new standards.

Within the framework of the workshop, scientists shared international and local experiences in managing and treating household solid waste. The rapporteurs proposed potential solutions, suitable to the specific conditions of Binh Dinh province, to achieve the goal of effective and sustainable waste management. In addition, delegates also shared practical experiences in propagating the classification, collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid wastes and the household solid waste management model in Hai Phong City; solid waste management system in Japan and some countries around the world; Technology for treating household solid wastes to generate electricity in Can Tho City, and etc.

The workshop marked an important step forward in raising awareness and environmental management techniques in Binh Dinh, contributing to the sustainable development of Binh Dinh province as well as the whole country.
