On August 16, 2024, the Working Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology led by Dr. Luu Quang Minh - Deputy Director, Department of Science and Technology of Economic and Technical Sectors; Mr. Le Tai Dung - Deputy Director, Office of State Key Programs; Associate Professor Nguyen Minh Khoi - Head of Program KC11 (Prograam for Research, Application and Development of Advanced Technology for the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry, for the period of 2021-2030); Professor Le Huy Ham - Head of Program KC12 (Program for Research, Development and Application of Biotechnology, for the period of 2021-2030) and related officials worked in Phu Yen province to deploy and orient the framework of national-level Science and Technology Programs in the province, participating in proposing suitable tasks for the framework of the program.

Speaking at the meeting, MSc. Duong Binh Phu reported on the implementation of Program No. 01/CTr-BKHCN-UBND dated August 8, 2023 signed by the Minister of Science and Technology and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province on coordination of activities on science, technology and innovation between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, for the period of 2023-2030, accordingly, it proposed to order the province's science and technology tasks to participate in the programs, the proposals always closely follow the instructions of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee to solve urgent problems in the locality, and at the same time solve inter-sectoral and inter-regional issues in the South Central region.
In 2024, Phu Yen province proposed to order 05 national-level science and technology tasks to solve practical problems in the province, such as responding to coastal erosion, orienting the development of fruit tree raw material areas, medicinal raw material areas; issues and solutions for sustainable development of lobster farming areas, treating seafood processing waste into raw materials for animal feed, etc.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Khoi - Head of Program KC.11 and Professor, Le Duy Ham - Head of Program KC.12 informed about the National Science and Technology Programs for the period up to 2030 and some implemented activities. At the same time, they suggested proposed tasks to be implemented in accordance with the province's strengths, solving current problems.
At the working session, the delegation answered questions and suggested key points for developing feasible and suitable tasks for the programs, especially the Biotechnology Application Program in the province according to Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW on developing and applying biotechnology to serve the country's sustainable development in the new situation. |
