In the afternoon of August 22, Long An province Department of Science and Technology sent delegates to attend the Workshop "Promoting application, transfer, innovation and innovation activities in the Southern region", organized by the Department of Technology Development and Innovation - Ministry of Science and Technology. The workshop took place at the hall of the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances in Ho Chi Minh City, presided by Mr. Pham The Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Technology Development and Innovation, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology in charge of the Southern region, with the participation of more than 60 delegates, representatives of the leaders of the Departments of Science and Technology in the Southern region, such a: Tien Giang, Long An, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Dong Nai, and etc. and a number of delegates from science and technology enterprises.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology in charge of the Southern region said that the workshop was organized to promote and enhance the effectiveness of implementing technology transfer and innovation connection activities in the Southern region, contributing to the implementation of the development goals of the region, enhancing the contribution of science and technology to the socio-economy. He emphasized that the Ministry of Science and Technology has been developing many programs to promote the application, transfer, innovation of technology and creativity. In particular, to meet the increasing needs of enterprises, the Ministry also has programs to support enterprises in applying and transferring advanced technologies from abroad to Vietnam.
