To promote this development, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized a workshop "Vietnam's semiconductor industry - the driving force and foundation for national development" at the 6th National Forum on Digital Technology Enterprise Development held on January 15.

At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry, emphasized the role of the semiconductor industry in the national development strategy.

He said that the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy was issued with the formula C=SET+1 (Chips, Specialization, Electronics, Talent + Vietnam), emphasizing the importance of high-quality human resources and the electronics industry ecosystem.

The State is committed to facilitating businesses through specific investment incentives and improving modern digital infrastructure, including supporting research and establishing key laboratories.

At the forum, many experts and business representatives shared experiences in developing the semiconductor industry and applying new technologies, such as the 5G Chip Make in Vietnam. Delegates discussed opportunities from the trend of shifting global supply chains, as well as made recommendations on developing high-quality human resources and investing in research and development, so that Vietnam can become not only a consumer market but also a reliable partner in the global semiconductor industry.
