The trio of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation is the driving force for development.
Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the close connection between science and technology, innovation and digital transformation is the key to help Vietnam develop in the right direction according to modern trends.

. He said that only less than 5% of countries in the world synchronize these three areas, while Vietnam is confidently affirming its pioneering position with a development model suitable to current culture and needs.
The Minister also pointed out that the quality measurement standards sector plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the country. He said that standards are not only a technical framework but also a tool to guide the development of technology, products and markets. This requires the development and compliance with standards to become a lever to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, helping them confidently reach out to the international market and contribute to the development of the economy in the context of Vietnam achieving a GDP per capita of 5,000 USD and having the need to transition to high-quality development.
However, the country is still facing many major challenges, including a flawed measurement, testing and inspection system that is incapable of providing reliable data for decision-making and innovation. Agencies and businesses often lack confidence in measurement indicators because decisions are based on intuition rather than objective data, which discourages innovation. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that to achieve the goal of breakthrough development, it is necessary to invest heavily in technology and digital infrastructure, reform the administrative apparatus and build a culture of “data-based decision-making” to promote continuous improvement.
