At the workshop, there were representatives of the Vietnam Gardening Association, the Departments of Agriculture, Industry and Trade, Science and Technology, as well as leaders of member associations and centers under the Union. Vice President and General Secretary of the Union, Mr. Mai Lam Hac, and President of the Gardening Association, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, chaired the workshop.
Vinh Phuc, located in the Northern key economic region, plays an important role in the regional and national economic development strategy. Although the proportion of agriculture in the province's GRDP structure is decreasing, the added value of the agricultural sector has still grown over the years. With the attention of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, Vinh Phuc agriculture is moving towards sustainable and ecological development, with many applications of science and technology in production. The province has developed more than 4,800 hectares of safe vegetable production areas, supporting many establishments to apply organic agricultural models and VietGap production processes.
At the workshop, delegates discussed the current status and solutions for developing OCOP products, applying information technology, and digital transformation in trade and production. They proposed many important solutions, such as effectively implementing the New Rural Program, restructuring the agricultural sector, and amending policies to improve the effectiveness of applying science and technology. A highlight of the discussion was the application of automation technology, digital technology, and AI in agricultural production, as well as creating favorable conditions for land and infrastructure to develop sustainable production. |
