Strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in science, technology and innovation
On May 10, 2025, in the Russian Federation, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Nikolaevich Falkov exchanged the Cooperation Agreement on organizing the selection of joint scientific research projects for the period of 2025-2035. This is an important basis for comprehensively promoting cooperation programs between the two countries on scientific research in the next 10 years.


Previously, at the working session between the two Ministers, the two sides specifically discussed the implementation and expansion of joint research cooperation programs; establishing a connection mechanism between research institutes and universities of the two countries; establishing a Joint Working Group of the two Ministries to support institutes, schools and technology enterprises of the two countries in developing cooperation projects.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom signed a Cooperation Agreement on the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes. The two sides will strengthen training programs, capacity building and research cooperation in this field.

Promoting the potential and strengths of each country, Vietnam and the Russian Federation agreed to prioritize the use of resources to expand cooperation programs in science, technology and innovation, contributing to strengthening and developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries./.
