Vinh Thanh District Youth Union coordinated career counseling for soldiers discharged from the army in 2025.
The units have focused on consulting, introducing jobs, and career guidance for young people and pupils, contributing to improving the qualifications, knowledge, and practical skills of youths. Typically, Thanh My commune has implemented a lotus growing model for selling shoots with 13 young people's families participating on an area of 6,000m2, earning a profit of 21,000 to 25,000 VND/kg per crop, along with the "Revolving Capital Pool" model to help young people have capital to do small businesses and cover study expenses.
Thanh My Commune Youth Union also coordinated well with the district Social Policy Bank in reviewing and supporting loans for poor, near-poor, newly escaped-poverty households and youth union members, with a total managed capital of more than 14.4 billion VND, helping 340 households borrow capital to develop the economy. During the half-term, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the district coordinated to disburse more than 107 billion VND in loans, of which overdue debt reached a low level of less than 0.3%. Youth production and business activities, such as growing fruit trees, raising livestock, providing services, applying science and technology, and visiting to learn from experiences were also encouraged to develop.
In addition, the work of admission counseling, career guidance and support for students in difficult circumstances is focused. The District Youth Union organizes many activities such as "Supporting the exam season" to help more than 4,155 candidates, along with programs to support learning, practice skills, build a healthy school environment, fight against negativity and achievement disease in education. Sports, cultural, artistic and charitable activities help young people develop comprehensively, contributing to promoting the increasingly strong youth movement. |
