INOMAR - The first public science and technology organization in the country approved to participate in the CoE Project
In the afternoon of June 17, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology held a conference to announce the decision to participate in the Project to build an international standard research center (CoE Project).

Mrs. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded the Certificate to Nanostructured and Molecular Materials Research Center.

This is the first time that a public science agency in the city has been approved to participate, and also the first time in the country. The Nanostructured and Molecular Materials Research Center (INOMAR) under the National University of Ho Chi Minh City is the first organization to be approved, receiving a grant of 85 billion VND from the City People's Committee to build a research and innovation center in the field of advanced porous materials.

During this period, the Department received 10 applications from 8 organizations, and INOMAR surpassed the criteria to become the first research center in the city and the country to participate in the project. Mr. Lam Dinh Thang affirmed that this recognition demonstrates INOMAR's outstanding capacity as well as the effectiveness of the city's policies and mechanisms to promote the development of international standard research centers in public organizations. INOMAR will become a leading model, demonstrating the ability to build a world-class research center in the public sector.

aSpeaking at the conference, Mrs. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy emphasized the strategic role of international standard research centers to promote the innovation ecosystem in the city. The city is shifting strongly to development based on science, technology, digital transformation and innovation, to promote sustainable development, attract talent and improve industrial, medical and educational capacity. To achieve this goal, departments and branches need to focus on building an innovation ecosystem, forming a "strategic triangle axis" model (Institute-School-Enterprise), promoting digital transformation and developing high-quality human resources in the field of science and technology.
