In order to evaluate the current status and progress of project implementation to make timely suggestions for adjustments, ensuring the project is completed as described, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology established a mid-term inspection and evaluation team for a project "Research and application of electronic sensor technology to manage the network of water supply pipes and monitor water quality at Tra Water Supply Joint Stock Company Noc – O Mon”, in the afternoon of July 19, 2024. The project is carried out by Engineer Nguyen Huu Loc. Tra Noc - O Mon Water Supply Joint Stock Company is an implementing unit.

Implementing the direction of Can Tho City People's Committee and Ministry of Science and Technology, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology coordinates with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - Mekong Delta Branch, Asia Creative Education Joint Stock Company – Al Educcation, Google for Education in Vietnam, Samsung Group, Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company, Can Tho City Business Association, Can Tho City Department of Education and Training, and related agencies/units to organize a Workshop "Developing and Training human resources in science, technology and innovation at international level in Can Tho city."

On July 19, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, presided the Government's Standing Conference on Digital Transformation.

The city will build 5 digital platforms (land management system, construction permit management system, electronic school records, electronic health records, and the city's social security management program) so that people are better served and state management is more effective.

On July 22, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology had a working session with the delegation of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology on the establishment procedures and operating mechanism of the innovation Startup Support Center, along with the process of implementing specific mechanisms and policies for scientific and technological activities.

In order to advise and consider directly assigning organizations and individuals to preside over the science and technology task "Application of unmanned aerial vehicles (Drones) into the rice cultivation process at Toan Phat Agricultural Cooperative, Co district Do, Can Tho City", Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology has a council meeting in the afternoon of July 23, 2024. The Council was presied by Dr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technologyl. The task is carried out by Engineer Nguyen Thanh Phong. Toan Phat Agricultural Cooperative is an implementing unit.

In the afternoon of July 16, 2024, Organization Board of the Creative Contest for Youth and Children of the province met to approve the results of scoring models, contest products and the final assessment of the 17th Creative Contest for Youth and Children in Binh Thuan province (2023-2024).

To announce the Innovation Index (PII) of Can Tho City in 2023; analyze the current situation and evaluate the results of innovation activities based on PIIs of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta; Share domestic and international experiences on innovation in socio-economic development and propose appropriate solutions, policies, and directions to continue developing the PII index to serve the needs of local socio-economic development based on science, technology and innovation. Recently, Can Tho City People's Committee has organized a scientific workshop "PII - Positioning innovation in socio-economic development of Can Tho City and aims to promote innovation in the Mekong Delta."

On July 22, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology had a working session with the delegation of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology on the procedures for building and establishing Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Startup Center, along with the process of implementing specific mechanisms and policies for science and technology activities.

On July 24, 2024, in Hanoi, Foreign Trade University and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) organized a special lecture program by Professor Emeritus of Waseda University Tran Van Tho with a topic "Innovation of growth model: Japan's experiences and lessons for Vietnam". This special lecture was conducted within the framework of the JICA Chair Program's series of activities.
