On August 16, 2024, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) coordinated with the Ben Tre province People's Committee and Can Tho University to organize a scientific workshop on the coconut industry with the theme: "Ben Tre develops green and sustainably towards net zero".

In the morning of August 27, at the Vietnam Innovation Hub Building, Da Nang held an important working session with a business delegation from Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. The event opened up opportunities for comprehensive cooperation between Tochigi Prefecture and localities of Vietnam, especially Da Nang City.
In the morning of August 16, in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province, the Ministry of Health coordinated with the Central Economic Committee and Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee to organize a scientific workshop on "Potential for developing marine medicinal herbs in Vietnam", to assess the potential and propose solutions for developing and exploiting effectively and sustainably marine medicinal resources to serve the work of protecting public health and socio-economic development, contributing to the good implementation of Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Executive Committee on the strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
On August 30, Youth Science and Technology Development Center (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) collaborated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, with the support of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City Young Scientists Club will organize the 8th Scientific workshop on "Food Safety and Food Security" in 2024.
On August 14 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of High Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, held a workshop on "Promoting research, development and application of high technology in the Southern region".
