According to the National Center for Agricultural Extension (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), despite difficulties related to weather and climate change, rice production in the Mekong Delta has achieved positive results in recent years, with harvest yields exceeding planned targets. This has contributed to improving farmers' incomes. However, to ensure sustainable rice production with low emissions, the agricultural sector in the Mekong Delta needs to strengthen its capacity to apply and expand precision nutrient management for rice cultivation.
Improving the efficiency of public investment and ensuring effective disbursement of public investment funds are crucial solutions and driving forces for Vietnam to successfully achieve double-digit economic growth targets in 2026 and subsequent years. To fulfill the targets for allocating and disbursing public investment funds in 2026, the Government, central ministries and agencies, and local authorities have been actively addressing difficulties and implementing a comprehensive range of solutions to create positive changes from the very first months of the year.
(CTO) - In the context of climate change, especially the increasingly complex drought and saltwater intrusion, agricultural production in Can Tho City faces many challenges, particularly the need to proactively secure water resources for cultivation. In reality, in key rice-producing areas such as Tan Long commune and Nga Nam ward, the electric pumping station system is both insufficient and dilapidated, directly affecting production efficiency. This highlights the urgent need for new investment and upgrades in a comprehensive and long-term manner.

Sustainable economic development and respect for natural laws are among the goals that all climate change adaptation activities in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta aim for. In particular, during the process of integration and development, Can Tho City has been cooperating with many international organizations to implement climate change adaptation projects and initiatives that have yielded high effectiveness.
(CT) - According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, Can Tho City is currently paying attention to, supporting, and creating favorable conditions for businesses and international organizations to invest in the construction of environmental treatment and household waste treatment projects in the area.
Vinh Long province and Deo Ca Group are proposing and promoting investment in the construction of the CT.33 expressway project, connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho City. The project is expected to be completed before 2030. Upon completion, the Mekong Delta will have an additional expressway connecting the region's transportation system with Ho Chi Minh City, the eastern provinces, and the rest of the country. This will contribute to the development of localities such as Can Tho, Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, and Ca Mau.
