On August 16, 2024, at the Nha Trang Palace Hotel Hall, the Ministry of Science and Technology presided a Workshop "Guidelines for implementing the National Product Development Program to 2030". Attending the Workshop, there were Mr. Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Do Huu Hao - Head of the National Product Development Program to 2030, and nearly 50 delegates representing the Departments of Science and Technology of economic and technical sectors, the Department of Planning and Finance, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, leaders of the Departments of Science and Technology of provinces, departments, sectors and enterprises.

Within the framework of the official visit to the Russian Federation and attendance at the 80th Anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War by General Secretary To Lam and his wife, on May 11, 2025, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long accompanied General Secretary To Lam to welcome typical businessmen and investors and attend the Vietnam - Russian Federation Business Forum.

Within the framework of the 11th Session of the Vietnam - Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Joint Commission taking place on May 16, 2024 in Astana, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam coordinated with the Ministry of Trade and International Integration of Kazakhstan to organize a seminar on trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

On May 9, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held a Conference on "Promoting trade in agricultural, forestry and fishery products between Vietnam and the United States."

On May 10, 2025, in the Russian Federation, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Nikolaevich Falkov exchanged the Cooperation Agreement on organizing the selection of joint scientific research projects for the period of 2025-2035. This is an important basis for comprehensively promoting cooperation programs between the two countries on scientific research in the next 10 years.

On May 8, 2025, within the framework of General Secretary To Lam's official visit to the Russian Federation, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung had a working session with Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Nikolaevich Falkov to comprehensively promote cooperation programs between the two countries in the field of science and technology.

During his working trip to the United States, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, Special Envoy of General Secretary To Lam, and the Vietnamese Special Working Group achieved an important breakthrough in bilateral trade relations with the US.

Deputy Minister Hoang Trung had a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Export Development of Sakatchewan State, Canada, Mr. Warren Kaeding. The two sides discussed cooperation activities to promote agricultural import and export turnover between the two countries as well as sustainable agricultural production.
